The idea for a new church in Sylvan Lake, Alberta was planted by Pastor Bob Dipert and a few select indivuals who all desired to God's will.  In the fall of 2000 the core group met weekly at the home of Pastor Bob for worship and planning sessions to plant a new church. It was decided to begin holding public services begining in the spring of 2001.

On April 15, 2001 Lighthouse Fellowship held our first public service in the Fine Arts Room located in Fox Run School.  On March 24, 2002 Lighthouse Fellowship held its formal organizational service and welcomed 41 charter members.
